Research Assistant Volunteer
Clinical Trials 

The UCSF Center for Mindfulness in Surgery is currently conducting several clinical trials examining the impact of resilience training on physician well-being and stress.  

We are seeking highly motivated Research Assistant volunteers, who under the supervision of the Study Coordinator Katya Guvva and Principal investigator Dr. Carter Lebares, will provide administrative support and research coordination duties. This volunteer position involves multiple responsibilities including enrolling participants, tracking their adherence to the study protocol, coordinating fMRI scanning, psychological, sociological and cognitive assessments, completing documentation for the successful operation of these critical Clinical Trails, and much more. This is a wonderful opportunity for an aspiring healthcare provider or graduate student.

REQUIREMENTS: Highly motivated, responsible individuals who are able to commit 4 hours per week for a minimum of 6 months. Hours are flexible but limited to weekdays only, and individuals must be able to commute to the UCSF Parnassus and Mission Bay campuses. Strong interest in topics such as health psychology, biology, and stress also required.

Research Assistant Volunteer

Graphic Design/Video Editor

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant volunteer with graphic design/video editor experience and/or strong aptitude. Under the supervision of the Study Coordinator Katya Guvva and Principal investigator Dr. Carter Lebares, this person will work on design and video production of various study support platforms and materials. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone interested in learning about the translation of behavioral interventions and the creation of targeted material for provocative outreach and end-user engagement. 

REQUIREMENTS: Highly motivated, responsible individuals who are able to commit 4 hours per week for a minimum of 6 months. Hours are flexible but limited to weekdays only, and individuals must be able to commute to UCSF Parnassus. Experience in graphic design and video production is required, but does not necessarily have to be a history of employment in these areas.
